Cancun, Q.R. — Paramedics rushed the driver of a van to Cancun hospital after a Wednesday afternoon crash. The driver was injured after crashing head on with a bus.
The crash happened in SM 254 of Cancun in Arco Vial. According to early information, the driver of the van invaded the opposite lane of oncoming traffic, crashing head on into the bus.
Paramedics arrived to find a trapped driver who required firemen to free him. He was stuck behind the steering wheel due to the impact, which left the front of his van completely destroyed.
He was taken to hospital while the driver of the bus received only minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Transit Police responding to the accident did not mention possible charges.
