Suspects in murder and dismemberment of Tulum body captured

Tulum, Q.R. — Investigative Police captured two men identified as the perpetrators of the murder and dismemberment of a man. According to police, the man’s dismembered body was found on January 20 on the highway near the municipality of Tulum.

“The detainee is Eduardo “N”, alias “Chaparro” and/or “Comandante”, who according to initial investigations, allegedly together with other subjects, went in a van to the Aldea Tulum subdivision to abduct a man.

“They took him to an invasion zone where he was killed and then dismembered, put the body in bags and abandoned,” they reported.

Also arrested was Antonio “N”, José Emmanuel “N” and Marco Antonio “N”, for their alleged relationship in events possibly constituting crimes of drug dealing.

“Initial field and technological investigations indicate that José Emmanuel “N” participated in the aforementioned homicide and that he would have helped transport the dismembered body to the place where it was abandoned.

“The four individuals are accused of being members of a criminal group that generates violence in the state and is mainly dedicated to the sale of narcotics,” police have said.

All four are currently being held and are facing a variety of charges.
