Tulum, Q.R. — Municipal police were called to three different scenes in Tulum Monday after reports of dead bodies. One body was reported Monday morning at the José María Pino Suárez bus stop on the Tulum-Felipe Carrillo Puerto federal highway.
The body of a man was found tied up and wrapped in white bags along with a narco-banner signed by a group identified as “La Línea.”
Authorities cordoned off the area and temporarily closed a section of highway while the body was removed. Members of the National Guard, Municipal Police and the Forensic Medical Service attended the scene.
Shortly after 9 a.m., another discovery was made, this time in the town of Tulum. Area residents reported a bagged body in the Lakín neighborhood. A local resident was walking near Rotarios Park at the intersection of Neptuno and Orión Streets, when he saw what looked like a bagged body next to a garbage container.

When local authorities arrived, they confirmed that it was a body. Police were on scene until the bag and its contents were removed from the public street by state officials.
A third dead body was reported found near a hotel complex. That bagged body was found in an advanced state of decomposition on the side of federal highway 307. The foul odor alerted a passersby who made the report to emergency services.

National Guard and Municipal Police were at the scene, securing the area while the Forensic Medical Service carried out the removal of the body. Police have not commented on the Monday discoveries.
