Cozumel, Q.R. — Excessive speed is the said reason for a vehicle toppling onto its side near the entrance of the Cozumel military base.
According to the public safety and traffic report, the driver was speeding when he tried to take a curve and lost control of the state of Morelos-plated vehicle, hitting one side of the monument to the 201 squadron of the Cozumel Military Air Base and knocking down a lamp post at the entrance to the north hotel zone.
The vehicle toppled onto its side. The driver was helped out by witnesses. He was not injured in the accident, but still taken to hospital for a medical evaluation. Police arrived to deal with the toppled SUV.
