Cozumel, Q.R. — Police collected evidence from a Cozumel crime scene after a broad daylight robbery. A bank client leaving a branch on 30th Avenue was stripped of a cash bag at gunpoint.
The robbery was made known to police after an armed man reportedly got off a motorcycle and approached the woman as she was about to leave the bank around 1:30 p.m. Two shots were fired into the air as the man made off with her cash bag and personal belongings.
Cozumel officers collected shell casings from the Wednesday afternoon crime scene. The robbery happened a day after a female employee of a Cozumel businesses in Colonia San Miguel was tied up and stripped of several thousand in cash by three armed men.
