Cancun, Q.R. — An inner city highway crash that involved four vehicles sent 10 to local hospitals. The accident happened Tuesday afternoon in the Arco Vial Norte area of Cancun involving a car, truck, combi and mototaxi.
After the initial collision between a red truck and black car, a trailer being pulled by the truck disconnected and slammed into a public combi transport van. That combi then hit a blue mototaxi unit, leaving it overturned in a ditch.
Several ambulances were reported arriving at the scene. Passengers from the combi and mototaxi were taken to hospital. Transit directed traffic while a handful of Cancun firemen were called in as a hazmat team to deal with leaking fluids.
