Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The new Amerimed medical centre in Isla Mujeres was inaugurated over the weekend. On Saturday, Isla Mujeres General Secretary Hugo Sánchez Montalvo was part of the ribbon cutting ceremony.
During the opening ceremony, Rafael Espino, CEO of Amerimed Hospitals said “you have to keep betting (on the destination), increase the offer of health services in quality, in specialty because these are the things that give tourists confidence to keep coming for more investments, developments and well-being to come.”
The newly opened Amerimed Medical Attention Center (CAM) offers 24-hour-a-day specialist care and state-of-the-art technology.
“All the services offered by Isla Mujeres are going to have a preferential price for consultations and x-rays through our business program called Circle of Health, which is a discount club for the islander,” Gabriela Martínez, director of CAM Cancun explained.
The 10 million peso investment was announced in March as part of the medical centre’s 15th anniversary.
