Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A 10 million peso investment is earmarked for the municipality of Isla Mujeres. The Amerimed Hospitals consortium says they will invest 10 million peso for a High Specialty Consultation unit (CAM) in Isla Mujeres.
The announcement was made by Gabriela Martínez Hernández, director of Amerimed Cancún. She said that that clinic will offer, among other things, emergency services seven days a week, laboratory sampling, X-ray and emergency and specialized medical care.
At a press conference, she announced that the investment is close to 10 million peso and when complete, will generate around 75 jobs. Her announcement was made prior to the company’s 15th year in Cancun.
On July 1, Amerimed Cancun will celebrate 15 years in the city. She said that the project plans will be delivered to authorities this week, and if all goes as planned, they are hoping to have municipal permits to begin operations July 1. Amerimed officials did not provide a location for the future hospital.
