Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun Police say a woman involved in the September murder of a city man has been formally charged. On Saturday, authorities said Esmeralda “N” has been charged with aggravated homicide.
The woman they have identified as Esmeralda “N”and/or Luna “N”, was charged with aggravated homicide in the September 23, 2026 shooting death of a city man.
According to the investigations, the victim was repairing a car on a public road when two subjects arrived and shot at him with a firearm.
“The assailants then ran toward a Honda HR-V parked on 124th Street in Superblock 227 where Esmeralda “N” and/or Luna “N” were waiting with another individual. They had apparently waited for the assailants, facilitating their escape,” police said in a statement.
Police did not provide a motive for the shooting in their statement.
