Mahahual, Q.R. — A tourist suffered head and neck injuries after losing control of a golf cart in Mahahual. The unidentified woman was traveling seaside streets in a rented golf cart Thursday when she crashed into a road fixture.
The low blow impact to the golf cart’s tires caused her to be thrown forward and out of the cart. She landed on the pavement suffering head and neck injuries.
Other motorists requested an ambulance from where paramedics stabilized the woman before her hospital transfer. She was taken to the Chetumal General Hospital for specialized care.
