Baja California, Mexico — In a joint operation carried out in the state of Baja California, elements of the Federal Police and the Mexican Army arrested the driver of a truck that was found transporteing approximately 780 kilos of drugs.
The discovery of the unit and drugs took place along the Lázaro Cárdenas-Punta Prieta highway when the tractor trailer unit was stopped for violating the Federal Highway and Highway Traffic Regulations.
When carrying out an inspection in the cargo area, and with the support of a canine binomial, 4,800 cans of juice and 57 hollow tetrapack boxes were located inside the unit. Inside those authorities found a variety of narcotics including crystal, heroin, cocaine, opium and fentanyl.
The truck driver and the cargo were seized and made available to the Federal Public Ministry Agent.
