Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Thursday night drug-related shooting inside a Playa del Carmen home has left four dead. One man and three women, all of the same family, were shot to death inside their home in La Guadalupana.
Residents in the far northwest residential community of the city reported hearing gun fire to local authorities around 8:00 p.m. Police arrived at the Punta Arena Street home to find four people with bullet wounds.
The four killed were reported to be related to criminal activity involving the sale of drugs.
After the shooting, the FGE of Quintna Roo posted a brief social media message. “The FGE Quintana Roo informs that an investigation was initiated on the occasion of the homicides in which four people lost their lives in a home located in the La Guadalupana subdivision of the municipality of Solidaridad.
“According to preliminary information, apparently it is revenge for drug related crimes.”
