Cozumel, Q.R. — The Secretary of Health has verified work being done to strengthen hospital infrastructure for Cozumel. Health Secretary Alejandra Aguirre Crespo confirmed project progress of the General Hospital of Cozumel for the care of COVID-19 patients.
She said they are adding a properly equipped area with intensive therapy beds for the care of COVID-19 patients who, due to their critical condition, require mechanical ventilation to improve their life expectancy.
The work consists of outfitting 11 intensive therapy beds for seriously ill patients, all of which will have mechanical ventilators and oxygen. The specialized area will also be outfitted with the necessary health workers to care for people with COVID-19 with all quality standards and patient safety.
