Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police from the Solidaridad Municipal Public Security arrested a woman for trying to smuggle cocaine into the prison. The woman arrived at the Playa del Carmen prison Tuesday during visiting hours.
Guards from the Municipal Retention Center located her stash of cocaine during a check before being allowed to enter the building.
Arrested for attempting to smuggle narcotics into the Solidaridad prison was 20-year-old Daniela “N” from Cancun. She was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after the bag of cocaine was found among her belongings.
