Chetumal, Q.R. — The bodies of two adults found on a Chetumal street have been identified as those abducted days earlier. Residents of the Bicentenario neighborhood found the bodies of an adult man and woman on 12th Street around 2:00 a.m. Friday.
An emergency 9-1-1 report was made after an area resident saw a black truck toss two black bags from its bed before speeding off. Officers responding to the report found the two black bags. Inside were a man and a woman.
They have been identified as the two people abducted in separate incidences in Chetumal Saturday. On Saturday evening, a 65-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man were abducted. The woman was abducted from outside a convenience store, while the man was forcefully removed from his home.
At the time of their abductions, police believed an ongoing land dispute to be the motive.
Next to the found bodies was a hand written message that read “To serve as an example to all those bullies who are stealing land and property from innocent people ATTE: THE PEOPLE.”
