Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The municipal government of Isla Mujeres and water concessionaire Aguakan, came to an agreement Tuesday that will see three kilometers of roads repaired.
In a press releases, island mayor Juan Carrillo Soberanis said that after a meeting between city council and Augakan, agreements were reached that the company will repair the three kilometers of Punta Sur roadway that was affected by work done by Aguakan.
Carrillo Soberanis explained that the repair work will be done in two stages, adding that they have also agreed to ensure complete leveling and durability from the highway to Punta Sur.
The meeting and subsequent agreement came after the municipality of Isla Mujeres formally served Aguakan with a notice for non-compliance with the drinking water, sewerage, sanitation and wastewater treatment service.
