Riviera Maya, Q.R. — A 7-year-old boy from Florida was pronounced dead Tuesday after being rushed to hospital from a hotel water park. The minor, identified only as M. C., was allegedly playing in the children’s pool area when he jumped from a slide.
Both hotel staff and his parents rushed to help him after he reportedly climbed onto a slide and jumped into a pool. When he failed to come up from the water, his parents began searching for him.
He was located unconscious and given CPR on site, but was unresponsive. The little boy was transferred to a private hospital by ambulance, but was declared deceased upon arrival. The child was vacationing at the hotel with his parents at the time of the accident.
