Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council officially announced the 18th edition of the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival will be held digitally.
Dario Flota, director of the Tourism Promotion Council indicated that the festival will be broadcast to the North American and European market via social media platforms.
The digital edition of the 2020 Riviera Maya Jazz Festival will be broadcast the weekend of November 27 to 29. This year, the digital version will consist of two concerts per night over three days.
This year’s concerts will feature Aguamala, Xamán, Elite Band, Diego Maroto – Cuarteto, Memo Ruíz – Bolero Flamenco, Pepe Hernández and Paco Rosas – Quinteto, who will be broadcast via Facebook and YouTube.
Darío Flota says that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and that “the state government’s income is depleted,” the event will not be held on the beach adding, “we are going to miss the crowds of attendees who attended in past editions.”
