Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Due to strong winds, emergency services of Isla Mujeres were called in to deal with a set of downed poles that landed on a private home in the Salina Chica neighborhood.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. when intense gusts from the entry of Cold Front No. 26 managed to topple the poles which landed against a home.
In a statement, Merced Ortiz Maya, head of the agency, reported that elements of the Dirección de Protección Civil y Bomberos de Isla Mujeres responded to the call for assistance, which left only minor damage to the home.
