Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Two teens arrested earlier this month after four people were shot have been charged. The pair of youths have been charged with qualified homicide after two of their victims died.
Authorities have said that the minor teens are facing two charges of homicide and intentional injuries of two others. The two others shot during the February 13 incident remain in hospital.
In a statement, police said “the events that led to the connection between the two teenagers occurred on February 13 of this year in a house located in the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres, where they arrived on a motorcycle then entered the property and shot the victims with firearms.
“The attack left two people dead and two injured, all of them male. After shooting the victims, the attackers fled on a motorcycle.

“The accused must remain under the precautionary measure of preventive confinement, while a Trial Court defines their legal situation,” police added.
