Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Two men were killed Saturday after rolling their vehicle on Químico Pastrana Avenue. The driver was reported heading toward Kabah Avenue when he lost control on a corner and rolled.
Both men were found trapped inside the car after rolling it several times. Paramedics confirmed both the driver and front seat passenger were dead at the scene.
Emergency services were notified of the single vehicle accident shortly before 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Emergency 9-1-1 dispatched police and ambulance services to the scene where the gold Chevy was found laying on its roof.
Witnesses reported seeing the car being driven fast as the driver attempted a corner. As he approached the curve, he lost control and rolled the vehicle three times before it came to a stop in the trees.
Authorities have not identified the deceased.
