Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The bodies of two young men were found shot to death near a beach area of Isla Blanca. The Isla Mujeres shooting victims were located in a state of decomposition a few blocks from the municipality’s Isla Blanca beach.
They were discovered Saturday afternoon by an area resident. The man was out walking when he stumbled upon the two dead bodies among an area of beach scrub.
Police from the mainland of Isla Mujeres were the first to arrive. Homicide investigators from the Ministerial Police arrived shortly after, as did the medical examiner.
Information regarding the two deceased was limited until police have time to investigate. Neither of the bodies were officially identified.
