Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico reports the rescue of three people who were found drifting after the engine of their boat failed.
The Naval Search, Rescue and Maritime Surveillance Station of Isla Mujeres set out in search of the three men after a call for help was received. The trio, in their small unnamed fishing vessel, were located drifting approximately 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 kilometers) from the southern tip of Isla Mujeres.
Members of the navy brought the three men on board their boat while towing the fishing vessel behind. All three were returned to land in good health.
