Chetumal, Q.R. — At least two people with left injured after a two car crash on Avenida Insurgentes in Chetumal. According to early information, one of the two vehicles involved ran an intersection stop sign.
The private car and Suchaa city taxi crashed, leaving the compact taxi laying on its side. Paramedics arrived and treated the driver and passenger from inside the taxi for minor injuries.
The noon time accident caused a bit of traffic congestion since the taxi was blocking a lane. Emergency vehicles responding to the report of the inner city roadway accident also contributed to the traffic congestion.
Chetumal Transit Officers worked at the scene taking statements to determine who was at fault.
