Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Skeletal remains of a male were found on a ranch near the area of Xpu-Ha south of Playa del Carmen. The discovery was made late Saturday night on the San Josecito ranch along the federal 307 highway.
Local area residents made the finding and subsequent report to 911 who sent municipal officers to verify. A partial skull and several limb bones were found near an older pile of men’s clothing in a green area just off a dirt road that leads to the ranch.
Evidence was collected and the remains moved to the morgue for identification purposes as well as to try and determine a possible cause of death.
