Six residential streets and public lighting latest Isla Mujeres mainland project

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Paving and lighting of six Isla Mujeres mainland residential streets is nearing completion. On Thursday, Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde reported the large project nearly 80 percent finished.

According to Gómez, Public Works are paving an area that includes six streets in the Oasis neighborhood in the Continental Zone. The completed paving project will also include underground wiring, sidewalks and streetlights.

“This is how we are transforming the beloved Continental Zone with decent quality, work,” she said.

Gómez reiterated that the development of Ciudad Mujeres is a reality and proof of this is this Oasis neighborhood, which was first regularized.

“After regularizing, we built the Los Venaditos children’s park and now we are paving and lighting the streets so that they look better and are safer,” she explained.

During her tour of the project, the mayor of Isla Mujeres said that in addition to paving six internal streets, 51 LED streets lights with underground wiring will be installed and curbs and sidewalks built to improve the quality of life of the families who live in this neighborhood.
