Cozumel, Q.R. — The search for a missing Cozumel fisherman continues. On Tuesday, volunteers along with authorities spent their second day at sea in search of the man.
Friends and family continue the search for 61-year-old Marciano Centeno “A” who was last seen Monday. Centeno “A” left his home early Monday to go lobster fishing. He was last seen by other fishermen approximately 4 kilometers off the coast Monday afternoon.
According to his wife, he was fishing off the coast of Punta Molas north of Cozumel when he was last seen.
Search and rescue resumed their efforts Tuesday after they were forced to stop looking Monday evening due to a lack of light. Paul Quintero Marín, Director de Protección Civil Municipal of Cozumel, says they will continue the search.
