Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Another abandoned boat has been found left along the east side of Isla Mujeres. Early Tuesday, a boat believed left behind by illegal migrants was discovered in the El Riíto area near Playa Norte.
The boat was noticed Tuesday while it was still dark. There are reports that several people were captured and arrested on the island by police who are believed to have tried to make a run for it from the boat.
Various personal belongings were found left on the wood boat. Police in Isla Mujeres have not commented publicly on the landing of the vessel.
