Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The municipality of Solidaridad will be hosting a one night drive-in theatre movie for families. The movie, Disney’s Luca, will be presented in the parking lot of Teatro de la Ciudad of Playa del Carmen on February 4.
The city said the drive-in style movie is being presented “with the purpose of bringing families a moment of coexistence and healthy cultural recreation, while guaranteeing health measures.”
The Solidaridad government, through the Municipal Institute of Culture, announced the inauguration of the drive-in project, which will take place Friday, February 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Teatro de la Ciudad.
The director of the Institute, Jorge Luis Borroto Alfonso, stressed that covid-19 hygiene protocols will be applied at all times. He said that access to the movie will be free, although with prior registration.
Due to covid, only 40 vehicles with a maximum of four occupants per vehicle, will be allowed. Borroto added that “the drive-in theater will also screen art and independent films, whose billboard will be published on the different social networks of the Municipal Institute of Culture. ”
Vehicles can begin arriving at 6:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. showing. Registrations are accepted via Whats App at 984.151.0950.
