Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — An Isla Mujeres resident was shot to death inside a centrally located island club Friday night. The fatal shooting happened in a bar located in the La Gloria neighborhood at the start of the municipality’s Carnival celebration.
Police were made aware of the shooting that happened around 11:00 p.m. Inside the bar, authorities found one deceased adult male laying on his back on the floor in between chairs and tables. He had been shot in the head.
An official public statement regarding the island shooting or arrest of possible suspects has not been made.
