New Isla Mujeres residential paving and lighting project finished

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Paving and new lighting in the La Loma neighborhood of Isla Mujeres is complete. Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde says she continues to fulfill commitments of the Continental Zone where transformative projects are advancing.

She says the project helps promote sustainable and orderly development in the Continental Zone adding that today, the Continental Zone of the municipality of Isla Mujeres is not the same as it was three years ago.

“The Continental Zone was forgotten for many years, but now well-being and social justice have reached each of its corners with transformative projects that dignify the quality of life of families,” she said.

The most recent paving and public lighting projects are part of a comprehensive strategy to provide quality services to the inhabitants of the Continental Zone, which is possible thanks to healthy finances and transparent management of public resources, she explained.

“With just over a month to go until the end of the current administration, Gómez Ricalde continues to fulfill commitments to the families of Continental Zone with projects such as new parks, recreational spaces and paved and illuminated streets.

“With quality public works, the Municipal Government is transforming the quality of life of the families of Ciudad Mujeres with the paving and modernization of public lighting in the La Loma neighborhood, one of several neighborhoods that are safer today,” she explained in a statement.
