Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A collision between a motorcycle driver and bus has left one dead. On Wednesday morning, emergency personnel responded to the report of the accident outside the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
The body of the motorcycle driver was found laying in the middle of the federal highway. His bike was several meters ahead of him laying in brush. Paramedics were called through 911 who confirmed the driver of the motorcycle dead at the scene.
Municipal Public Security agents directed traffic through the nighttime accident scene with a flashlight to keep motorists moving until the body was removed from the highway. A tow truck was called to remove both the bus and motorcycle.
Transit police continue to investigate. It is not officially known how the motorcycle came upon the bus or how the two collided.
