Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Isla Mujeres City Council Council has announced a new head for its Public Security and Municipal Traffic. Isla Mujeres mayor Juan Carrillo Soberanis says the new general director is Eduardo Fouilloux Bataller.
Mayor Soberanis explained that Isla Mujeres has always been a place of peace and tranquility for everyone, which is something that characterizes the municipality, so it was for this reason he decided to make a strategic change in matters of security.
“I thank the Governor Carlos Joaquín González for supporting such an important decision and the Secretary of State Public Security Alberto Capella, as well as the high command of the Secretary of the Navy. With teamwork, we will take a step forward in matters of security in our municipality,” he said.
Eduardo Fouilloux Bataller, who is Captain of the Navío Infante de Marina Paracaidista Diplomado del Estado Mayor, also has a master’s degree in National Security. He has received recognition for courage, loyalty, discipline, acting with professionalism in the development of high-impact operations orders. He has also been recognized with honorable mention for his outstanding participation in reducing violence in the country, as well as for his leadership and professionalism shown as commander of the Naval Police Battalion during the period of 2016-2019.
