Bacalar, Q.R. — A man was found dead in a street after area residents of Rio Verde reported hearing gunfire. The unidentified man, who is reported to be around 56 years old, was found laying dead in a street by police.
He had been shot several times. Elements of the National Guard attended to the scene while investigators collected shell casings.
Authorities have not confirmed or denied that this latest shooting could be related to a string of criminal gang shootings from last week in nearby Xcalak where eight men went missing and six of them were found dead.
