Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver was transferred to a Cancun hospital in serious condition after being hit by a car. Police and paramedics were at the scene of the intersection crash in the La Gloria neighborhood of the island Thursday.
Numerous witnesses to the two vehicle colission made the report to emergency services after the driver of the bike failed to get up. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Community Hospital of Isla Mujeres.
However, after a medical review, he was taken to the mainland to a waiting ambulance and transferred to a Cancun hospital. Municipal Police have not commented on a cause for the noon accident or the condition of the motorcycle driver.
