Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — An Isla Mujeres woman was shot and killed Monday in the Continental Zone. The evening shooting happened inside a business on Rancho Viejo Avenue.
Officers responding to the 911 emergency report arrived to find the woman with a gunshot wound to her head. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m.
The unidentified woman is reported to be in her mid-twenties. Witnesses reported seeing subjects arrive on a motorcycle from which one got off, entered the business and shot the woman point blank.
The motorcycle then sped off with both subjects on board. Isla Mujeres Police have not made any comment surrounding the public shooting.
