Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A young teen who lost control of his motorcycle has died. The 16-year-old was killed after crashing into a concrete wall. The accident happened Saturday evening when the young man lost control of his bike.
According to the police report, a combination of speed and wet roads caused him to lose control on a corner and hit the wall on Paseos de los Peces Street in the La Gloria neighborhood.
The teen, Alonso “N”, was attempting to maneuver a corner around 6:40 p.m. when the accident happened. The slippery road caused his motorcycle to fall. It came to a rest on the road after being stopped by the high ridge of a sidewalk. The boy, however, was projected into a concrete wall that lined the sidewalk.
Responding paramedics pronounced the youth on scene.
