Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — An SUV accident on the Continental Mainland of Isla Mujeres has claimed the life of a woman. The accident happened Monday on Avenida Ramal Norte. The rolled-over SUV claimed the life of one woman and left two others, both men, injured.
The two injured men were taken to hospital. Preliminary reports say the driver lost control and rolled, flipping the vehicle that left the sunroof completely shattered and at least one of its occupants thrown from the vehicle.
The deceased woman was located in vegetation near the toppled SUV. She has not been officially identified. Speed is believed to have been a likely factor in the accident.
