Isla Mujeres restaurant shut for not respecting health protocols

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A restaurant in the municipality of Isla Mujeres has been shut after authorities found them operating and not respecting Covid health protocols. Inspectors from the Isla Mujeres city council reported the closure of the restaurant, which is located on the mainland.

City officials say the establishment was closed for not respecting the 30 percent maximum capacity in addition to not implementing healthy distance between its workers and the eaterie’s diners.

The Directorate of Inspection says the city will have a permanent operation in place to ensure all municipal businesses abide by the rules during the current health situation to allow a gradual, orderly and responsible recovery of the local economy.
