Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The intervention of police resulted in the arrest of a man who allegedly shot another man to death in the central area of the island. Isla Mujeres police made the arrest shortly after the daytime shooting Tuesday.
Supported by C2 surveillance video, police were able to identify a lone male for the shooting death of another male that took place around 4:00 p.m. in the island’s center. Elements of the Municipal Police located the man, capturing him on Rueda Medida Avenue as he was believed to be making his way to the mainland ferry crossing.
The detained male has been identified as Kevin N. At the time of his arrest, police found he was carrying a 45 caliber weapon.
