Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A new police substation is being built on the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres. Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde reported on its progress, saying once done, it will provide a decent space for municipal police officers.
The new Police House will be used by Public Safety and Traffic officers. There, they will be able to “rest, eat and clean up to continue their workday in the best possible conditions,” Ricalde said.
She said a new police house was one of the main commitments of the Municipal Government when she took over the administration.
She said that significant advances have been made in the construction of the Police House in the Insular Zone. With the construction of the Police House, the mayor pointed out that the daily work of the police will be dignified, since they are in charge of taking care of the safety of the families and the thousands of tourists who visit daily.
