Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office has charged a local man with the rape of a young girl. On Tuesday, Ángel “P” was charged with the crime of rape to the detriment of a victim of reserved identity.
The events occurred in the municipality of Isla Mujeres at the beginning of December 2022, when the now-accused attacked the girl who was alone in her home. The attack was reported on January 4, 2023.
A Cancun court has charged Ángel “P” with rape. He will remain in precautionary unofficial preventive detention while the investigation continues.
