Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The Secretary of Planning and Finance (Sefiplan) has closed an Isla Mujeres bar after it was found in non-compliance with the current covid health protocols. Authorities in Isla Mujeres proceeded to close Broncos Bar on Rueda Medina Avenue where they found it serving outside the allowed time as well as being over capacity.
State inspectors arrived Saturday night to find the bar was at a capacity of more than 50 percent as well as serving alcohol outside the allowed times. Sefiplan inspectors, accompanied by police, proceeded to suspend the bar.
The move comes at a time when state governor Carlos Joaquin expresses his concern over the state’s borderline standing of returning to a red epidemiological light.
