Isla Mujeres inspectors find minor after bar noise complaint

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — An Isla Mujeres bar has been temporarily closed after island inspectors found a minor inside. The residential bar was closed after inspectors responded to a noise complaint.

Urban Development inspectors proceeded to inspect the bar after a Thursday night citizen complaint regarding noise. However, when they walked in, they found a nine-month-old baby inside the club sitting at a table with its mother.

The club is located in the La Gloria neighborhood of the island. Inspectors found the infant at a table with its mother who is reported to be a club employee. The neighborhood bar has since been temporarily shut.

Isla Mujeres inspectors did not detail if the residential bar was closed for allowing a minor or for exceeding noise decibels.
