Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Two people believed involved in the shooting death of another late last week, have been arrested in Isla Mujeres. Two male subjects were removed from a home and taken into police custody after authorities performed a search of two homes in two different areas of the island.
During their search, police recovered drugs and weapons from each of the homes. A total of four people were located, however, two managed to escape police, leaving two others to be taken into custody. Both homes remain under police guard.
The search and seizure came after a man, a native of Isla Mujeres, was killed Thursday night. His body was discovered by a passerby, who alerted police.
