Isla Mujeres ferry terminal infrastructure project nearing completion

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Infrastructure work is being done on the Isla Mujeres ferry terminal that will increase space and facilities for travelers.

Emilio Tamara who is with the Comprehensive Port Administration of Quintana Roo (Apiqroo) of Isla Mujeres says the project is in response to an ongoing request. Tamara says Apqiroo is building bathroom facilities and a storage locker space for ferry terminal users.

A total of nine men and women bathroom stalls are being constructed near the terminal along with a large locker area for storage. Once finished, the new space will be air conditioned.

Tamara says the project is around 80 percent finished and, as long as weather allows, is expected to be complete in early March.
