Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Important projects are coming to Costa Mujeres in 2023, reports the Association of Hotels. The projects are due to the success of the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres, the Association said.
Marissa Setién, Director of the Association of Hotels of Costa Mujeres in the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres, said the area has taken off and is currently among the top five preferred destinations for both national and international tourists.
She said the between 2023 and 2024, the Association is expecting relevant projects for the entire Costa Mujeres area.
“Important projects are coming to the area. A very important hotel will open in December. There are others under construction, a Secrets and others that are already in the works, that, when we have all the information, we will let the public know,” she said.
Setién said the new projects will mean approximately 2,000 more hotel rooms that will be opening between 2023 and next year. The new offer that is being generated in Costa Mujeres is very different, exclusive and with great potential for growth due to its unique attractions in terms of the size of the beaches, the vegetation, as well as the service.
She added that promotional campaigns for this year will be done as an individual strategy by the hotels, especially since they are looking for very specific and different markets, she said adding that Costa Mujeres is a new destination and they are still positioning the brand.
