Cozumel, Q. R. — Two people were injured and around a million peso in estimated damage after two vehicles crashed along the southern coastal highway. The crash happened Thursday when a private car and a rental jeep collided head on.
According to witness accounts, the plate-less rental Jeep was being driven by a company worker when the driver swerved into the oncoming lane. In that moment, it crashed into a private vehicle.
The drivers of both vehicles, who were the sole occupants, were taken to hospital with various injuries. Both were reported to be in stable condition.
