Guests robbed by armed men in Playa del Carmen restaurant

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Another armed attack took place at a Playa del Carmen restaurant, this time, without injuries.

On Tuesday, three armed men entered La Barracuda restaurant located in Colonia Creación and robbed those inside. The cashier was forced to hand over cash, while the restaurant’s guests were forced to the ground and made to hand over their valuables.

Although there were numerous witnesses, no one was able to provide police with a description of the getaway vehicle.

Police arrived, however, there were no arrests.

On Monday night, an armed assault on a bar in the far west region of Playa del Carmen left one dead and 11 injured when at least two gunmen fired shots from outside the establishment. Police continue to investigate.
