Glass sea turtle figurines of Mexico bound for Tahiti filled with crystal meth

Colón, Querétaro — Glass figurines bound for Tahiti were found stuffed with crystal meth. Members of the National Guard seized the glass sea turtle figurines after a narcotics dog alerted his handler to the presence of drugs.

The package containing 41 individually wrapped glass sea turtles was further inspected. National Guard personnel located 41 sealed bags of crystal meth inside the glass turtles.

The drug shipment was intercepted inside a courier shipping company in Colón, Querétaro. According to the National Guard report, the package was leaving Mexico bound for the island of Tahiti, in French Polynesia.

The evidence has been handed over to state authorities who have begun an investigation into the interrupted drug shipment.
